Ideathon accelerates Bali disaster data integration
In an effort to bring about ‘Satu Data (One Data) Indonesia’ in Bali Province, SIAP SIAGA and BPBD Bali held a series of ‘Ideathons for the Integration and Update of Bali Disaster Information System (SIK)’. The first Ideathon was organised from April 29 to May 1, attended by BPBD district/city representatives and academics. Present as facilitators for this event were the BNPB Head of Emergency Operation Centre (Pusdalops), BNPB Head of Disaster Data, Information, and Communications (Kapusdatinkom), and the Head of the Bali Province Bappeda. To reinforce data integration and updating of disaster data, BPBD and SIAP SIAGA held a second Ideathon from 23 to 25 June, attended by representatives of 39 government and non-government institutions. Within three days, participants discussed the situation, standards and existing platforms to support disaster data and information management. The results of the data inventory will be used as a reference in the collection and integration of disaster-related data. As a follow-up, BPBD in collaboration with the Bali Diskominfos will update the Bali SIK to be integrated within the One Data Indonesia – Bali framework. The Bali SIK update will be finalised by the end of 2021 to support data-based disaster policymaking.
